The Reason I Want The Leaves To Die!

There is a season for everything...

As we travel through life, we will meet, befriend and love many people. The ability to interact and fellowship with one another is a wonderful gift that creates an inseparable bond of trust. If trust exists, there is an exchange of secrets that include, and are not limited too, trials, tribulations, testimonies or triumphs.

The bond can be compared to the branches of a tree. So, the emotions shared are the same as the leaves. We, the people, are the trees. And as time passes, the leaves will either flourish by growing tall, healthy, and strong; or, they will become weak, wither and dry. The leaf will fall away and depart from the branch, making room for new leaves that produce fruit.

"Fruit trees of all kinds will grow along both sides of the river. The leaves of these trees will never turn brown and fall, and there will always be fruit on their branches. There will be a new crop every month, for they are watered by the river flowing from the Temple. The fruit will be for food and the leaves for healing." Ezekiel 47:12 NLT BibleHub

So, the issue is this: Why do we hold on to dead leaves? Maybe the correct question to ask is: Why do we hold on to dead relationships? It is OK to allow a non-thriving relation to fall away and die. Just as, all vibrant trees that are rooted in rich soul continue to grow and reproduce more green leaves; being rooted in the word of God, affords us an assurance and confidence in knowing that all things are made new. He is our source.

"But we know that there is only one God, the Father, who created everything, and we live for him. And there is only one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom God made everything and through whom we have been given life." 1 Corinthians 8:6 NLT BibleHub

Finally, there are many times, we pray asking God to remove anyone and everything from our lives that hinder our relationship with him and his will for our lives. So, again I ask: why do we hold on so tight to those dead leaves? He already answered. So move forward towards destiny. Everyone that you smile and wave to cannot or will not move with you into the next phase of your life. They are a leaf, not a branch, and not a root.

"I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit." Romans 15:13 NLT BibleHub

A Time for Everything

1There is an appointed time for everything. And there is a time for every event under heaven—

2A time to give birth and a time to die; A time to plant and a time to uproot what is planted.

3A time to kill and a time to heal; A time to tear down and a time to build up.

4A time to weep and a time to laugh; A time to mourn and a time to dance.

5A time to throw stones and a time to gather stones; A time to embrace and a time to shun embracing.

6A time to search and a time to give up as lost; A time to keep and a time to throw away.

7A time to tear apart and a time to sew together; A time to be silent and a time to speak.

8A time to love and a time to hate; A time for war and a time for peace.

9What profit is there to the worker from that in which he toils? 10I have seen the task which God has given the sons of men with which to occupy themselves. (Ecclesiastes 3 NASB) BibleHub
