How Will My Christian Walk Change After November 8th?

What does the election mean to me?

Personally, I am looking forward to the day after the election: November 9th. Why? On this day, if it is the Lord's will, the election results will be published and the future leader of the great United States of American will be known worldwide.

So what changes for me? Nothing! My trust, belief, faith and hope are in God. Therefore, I am confident in Paul's teachings when he wrote: "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who[a] have been called according to his purpose." Romans 8:28 NKJV

I will continue my efforts to share peace, hope and LOVE: The Gospel.

If you are concerned or not sure of your future, take comfort in the following scriptures with assurance that that God remains in control:

"Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, 2 looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. "Hebrews 12:1-2 NKJV"But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." Matthew 6:33-34 NIVThe LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. Psalm 23:1

My prayers for all include:

Continue to pray. In fact, 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 encourages us to 16 Rejoice always, 17 pray continually, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus."I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— 2 for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness." 1 Timothy 2:1-2 NIVAnd remember to move forward constantly learning, growing, and staying focus on your future.

We must all remember; time waits for no one. It is important that we continue to grow by developing into the best possible versions of ourselves. That is only possible by implementing positive changes that are evident and characteristics exemplified in “the fruit of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control.” Galatians 5:22-23 NIV

Final thoughts: confusion, deceit, division, strife, contempt and any and all acts of evilness, are not of God. So set your thoughts, goals, missions, or visions on all things that are pleasing to in his sight. Salvation is bigger than our selfish wants and desires. Remember, the goal is to help others learn and accept the gift of eternal life.
