The deceiver wants destroy your purpose.
Do you find yourself wondering: how could the very thing that you love with all of your heart cause you the most pain? You sacrifice your time, needs and maybe even your financial stability holding on to this person, place or thing that is slowly destroying you. You trick yourself into thinking that this thing brings you joy, happiness and fulfillment.
However, this is a trick. The greatest deception, complements of the enemy.
"The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy;" (John 10:10a NIV)
This thing that you love, "You LOVE." You cannot stop thinking about it. It consumes your thoughts and it is a constant consideration before you make a decision. Be honest with yourself. What is it? You fill in the blank. Is it a bad relationship constantly warring against you with physical or mental abusive? Is it a substance that is bad for your health? Is it a bad habit, such as gambling or compulsive shopping that is depleting you financially?
Whatever it may be, know this: Satan is stealing your life! Corinthians 13:4 NIVexplains, "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud."
Meditate, speak and memorize this passage. Repeat this verse until you understand that this thing that you LOVE is an illusion. A curse.
Why is this a curse and not blessing? John 10:10b explains Jesus' desire for our life when He says, "I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." A full life is not filled with tears, hurt and pain. It is filled with happiness, joy, love and peace which is of the fruit. Take some time to consider and analyze your life. Identify the attacks of the enemy. And, "Humble yourselves before God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you," (James 4:7NLT).
You have the power to move forward in destiny, leaving behind all destruction that is hurting and preventing you from living a life of peace.
Finally remember this: You are a prize, chosen by God. He wants you to be obedient and follow his will. The enemy's goal is to prevent you from completing your purpose. He will use whatever he can to cause you to fail and prevent you from obtaining victory. "There is a way that appears to be right, but in the end it leads to death," (Proverbs 14:12 NIV). Therefore, whatever the temptation may be; it will never provide the promise of God. So, be patient, prayerful and studious, always seeking, searching and yearning for God. He is faithful and will never leave you.
