Hold The Meat Please

Vegan and Vegetarian Holiday Meal Ideas

Are you contemplating skipping all Holiday meal invitations this year? Thinking, this year I will just make an appearance and leave before the meal is scheduled to be served. Or maybe, this year I will just arrive late; that is, after dinner is served, mingle, and go home so I can eat. A common problem for all Vegans or Vegetarians is we are invited to dinner but the only food option is a dumb salad and every other option is packed with animal or one of its products. And no, I don't feel bad. A polite decline prevents the need for apologies regarding likes or dislikes towards my dietary restrictions and requirements.

And yes, everyone knows: I do not eat meat. So, thank you, but, no thank you; all with a sweet smile. This is my typical response. However I think, Why didn't I eat before I left home?

This year, I thought it would be great to share great recipes that are quick, and easy to add to any menu. And the best thing is that everyone attending your Holiday event will love them .

Vegan:

Vegetarian:

Both:

Stuffed Peppers (Do not add cheese to make vegan friendly.)

Spicy Spaghetti Squash Fritters (Substitute sour cream with a non dairy option to make vegan friendly.)

Now, if the options listed above did not catch your eye as a must add, please include a hot meal to your menu that can easily become a vegan or a vegetarian option. A quick Google search will lead you to something that is appealing and appetizing. Enjoy.

Happy Holidays!
