Dear Teachers, Preach This Twofold Message

A dedication to the anointed teachers who give all of themselves so that we are the best that we can be.

“Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers.” Ephesians 4:11 NLT Biblehub

Often, the teacher is one who pours out from their soul and into others, the essence of inner peace which is embodied by The Fruit of the Spirit. Galatians 5:22 provides a detailed explanation of "The Fruit" by this definition: “The Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness.”

Anointed teachers constantly provide counsel to those seeking wisdom, advice or simply a listening hear. In fact, James 3:1 NLT BibleHub warns: "Dear brothers and sisters, not many of you should become teachers in the church, for we who teach will be judged more strictly."

Considering this, it is evident that the ability in itself requires revelation, patience, studying and understanding God's word. The teacher must also have a compassionate and discerning heart when interacting with individuals who seeks growth and the Kingdom of God.

It is, in my opinion, possible for Teachers to deplete anointed resources by constantly giving to others and not taking enough time to refuel their own souls with divine scripture feedings. Many students require more than prayer calls. They are constantly requiring encouragement and motivation or a gentle push toward embracing God's will and obtaining an abundant productive life. Understand this, the will and ways of the world are in direct conflict with the life that Jesus has planned for us.

Today, ask yourself, who encourages the encouragers?

"Out of heaven He made thee to hear His voice, that He might instruct thee: and upon earth He shewed thee his great fire; and thou heardest his words out of the midst of the fire." Deuteronomy 4:36 KJV Biblehub

The purpose of this message is two-fold:

1. For Students

"There was a man named Nicodemus, a Jewish religious leader who was a Pharisee. After dark one evening, he came to speak with Jesus. "Rabbi," he said, "we all know that God has sent you to teach us. Your miraculous signs are evidence that God is with you." Jesus replied, "I tell you the truth, unless you are born again, you cannot see the Kingdom of God." "What do you mean?" exclaimed Nicodemus. "How can an old man go back into his mother's womb and be born again?" Jesus replied, "I assure you no one can enter the Kingdom of God without being born of water and the Spirit." John 3:1-5 BibleHub

In this passage, we find that Nicodemus recognized Jesus as the anointed Son of God. However, he openly questioned with disbelief the knowledge or teachings he shares with the students or people that gathered yearning to learn more.

As students, we must remember, challenges and/or opposition, after time, will take a toll on our instructors. We must constantly pray for the continued health, strength and renewed mind of the teacher. Remember to treat others as we want to be treated when communicating and before placing high unrealistic expectations on our facilitators. And finally, We must listen and accept the gentle correction provided. Instead of finding an excuse to follow our own will.

2. For the Teacher

"And God chose me to be a preacher, an apostle, and a teacher of this Good News." 2 Timothy 1:11 NLT BibleHub

Teachers, this is a message of encouragement and gratitude for the many sacrifices you make and have made on our behalf. In some cases, not only are you a confident and a counselor; but, you are also a burden carrier. You provide a shoulder to cry on in times of sorrow. You soften the blow of disappointment by showering us with praise instead of the blunt reality of truth. You repeatedly and patiently provide the same answers to our questions. You have many sleepless nights praying for us when we do what we want instead of listening to the advice we solicited from you. And when things go left, you never say: I told you so. You are kind and patient, although we offend; but, make you feel as though you have caused an offense. You are loved and appreciated more than you will ever understand. You are valued and we support and thank you for your efforts in helping us to understand the word of God. Please keep motivating us to be our best.
