Poetry On Odyssey: On One Accord Or Broken By Discord

Are we Family, Friend, or Foe?

Trivial things seem to tear apart what once was a bond solid blood ties bound by hearts.

Us against them

no more we.

It is now he, she, or me.

No longer is blood thicker than water.

These ties that bind are damaged

by hidden poisons, animosities, and grudges

pushing us further and further apart.

Words filled with slick disses

daggers thrown too much back and forth.

Now we move to public view no longer hiding in the dark.

Social media becomes our stage

for others to chime in with support

or laugh at our ignorance.

Some may think it is a disgrace.

You decide whatever the case.

But I ask you would God be pleased with our actions?

What we are doing is nothing new.

The Bible is filled with lots of these same types of stories.

To help you remember I will name a few:

Cain and Abel

Ishmael and Isaac

King Saul and David

Some of you get it but others don't.

Here is one more to help make my point:

Jesus and Judas

I leave you with this, it is for you to choose.

Jesus is peace and he continues to call out to you.

The thief comes to kill, steal, destroy, divide and spread lies.

Examine yourself think about you and only you.

When you speak is it filled with peace and love? Does it uplift the most High?

Or are you spewing gossip, hatred, and lies?

As for me, I will have to give an account too.

No one is exempt we all do.
